While attending the grade level meetings this year, Sandy Ravnum and I have been talking to teachers about existing technology and information media integration projects. We are available to assist teachers in modifying existing projects or creating new projects. With all grade level teachers in attendance, we can also make sure that all teachers have the same understanding and expectation for the projects. With three elementary schools, the district wants to provide the same baseline experience for all students.
So far we have clarified the expectations for each grade level, modified a few projects and are working on updating others as one of the software applications will be changing soon. These meetings have also given us an opportunity to set up meeting times and teaching times with teachers and their students. Integration of information media and technology skills is truly a team effort.
